COMMISSIONING Commissioning is the bringing together of documents, recordings, procedures and evidence that our customers are receiving what they contracted Riviera Electric to furnish and install. Commissioning also certifies that the design and installation are correct, and that the electrical distribution is operating within all specified guidelines. This process brings credibility to the owner, general contractor, engineer of record, electrical contractor, and the journeymen and apprentices who installed the project plus the Manufactures whose equipment was specified and used on this project. Commissioning also establishes a benchmark or standard in which the electrical distribution and other systems are operating. Once commissioning has been performed and documented, the project is then turned over to the Riviera Electric Service Department; preventative maintenance processes should be scheduled and performed on an on-going basis. If an extended warranty has been offered on this project, our Service Manager will establish an on going PM Schedule with the building owner or facility manager. All documentation will be generated and shared with the building owner, the engineer of record and the general contractor. Each will receive a report, and the master copy will remain at Riviera Electric for future testing and documentation. Any trending, or deficiencies, will be reported to the building owner for appropriate time to schedule maintenance or repairs. At Riviera Electric, it is our intent to deliver the highest quality electrical installation to our customers. By documenting, recording, and taking ownership of all our installations, we will begin to take full ownership in these discrepancies and make the changes necessary to separate ourselves from other electrical contractors who claim to be quality minded. |
